An economic crisis in Peru has forced almost everyone with a car to take on a second job as a "taxista," turning their backs on their previous careers in order to make ends meet. Exploring this situation via a series of filmed rides - and always letting her subjects speak for themselves - director Honigmann presents us with a spare, haunting documentary about lives twisted by circumstance.
