synopsis

Twenty-two year old Carmo would rather die than spend another day in the hellhole on the Brazil-Paraguay border where she lives. Marco, 37, is a lonesome, wheelchair-bound gaucho turned small time criminal. He has just arrived in town and desperately needs someone to help him unload a shipment of smuggled goods. What unfolds is an unlikely romance between two stray souls chased by bandidos and the police alike. A lawless, reckless journey of self-discovery through a jagged, breathtaking South American landscape.
