synopsis

In early 2000, French director Claude Sautet, then dying from cancer, discussed his filmography with filmmaker N.T. Binh and journalist Domenica Rabourdin. Besides commenting on his feature films, Sautet reminisced about his beginnings as an assistant-director, his work as a consultant on many screenplays, his quick temper and his political disillusion. After Sautet's death, Binh and Rabourdin also interviewed some of the director's former collaborators and his wife, Graziella.
