synopsis

A group of graduating teenagers who form a family of friends -- a family that tests their morality, and in their sacrifice of that morality, helps them find a sense of purpose. An end of school camping trip in the mountains sets the teenagers up for circumstances for none is prepared. The campground citations to be handed out include robbery, betrayal and murder. And, when the abrasive town sheriff suspects the guys of a recent liquor store robbery, they must stick together. All the characters' additional problems begin to surface simultaneously. Ethan is hiding his romantic relationship with childhood friend Emma for fear that tension will grow between the guys. Sam copes with the death of his father, as his mother is left to raise two boys on her own. Riley assumes the role of group leader as he tests the limits these boys are willing to go. All the while, Riley pursues the attractive Elizabeth. And, Jake fills the role of the loose canon. The film shines light on a generation of sociopaths, and the friends in this group illustrate the varying degrees of youth delinquency.
