synopsis

'Dirty Deeds' is a gangster movie set in Australia. It sets the booming casino underworld of Sydney against other, more traditional mob families. Barry Ryan, played by Bryan Brown, is an Australian mobster who controls the city's gambling scene and makes a killing off casino slot machines. Once his success picks up, he attracts the attention of the American mafia. To try and secure a portion of these earnings, they send two henchmen, played by John Goodman and Felix Williamson. In a plot of characters, also including Toni Collette, Kestie Morassi and Sam Neill, it details Ryan's efforts to fend them off, while contending with other parts of his life.
