The Scent of Sin (Peyarar Subhash)

synopsis

Peyera is an unfortunate woman who has been forced to marry an older man by her uncle in return for some money. She is disappointed to know her husband is a coffin maker and deals in death . She pushes her husband away citing the stench of his body sweat working with the coffins. But, as the husband and the social norms that dictate the lives of the poor, he forces himself on her, day after day. Peyera decides to take revenge. And an ex-boyfriend appears as the new carpenter for the rich man's factory. The plot thickens as the weather turns into the torrid monsoon with incessant rains and rising flood waters.
