synopsis
A poor musician, Ghazali, falls in love with a rich aristocratic girl, Tengku Zaleha. Their affection towards each other grows after he is hired as her piano teacher, which gives them a chance to see each other every day. However, since she is of royal lineage, her father and brother disapprove of her being so close to a commoner. She continues to see Ghazali in secret but when their relationship is discovered, they are forcefully separated. Ghazali is beaten until he faints and when he wakes up, he learns that Tengku Zaleha has died.
