synopsis

Fourteen year old Ashok is a shepherd who marches his herds the way one would lead a parade. He hates school, but one day his friends drag him to the republic day parade. Ashok is noticed for his powerful voice and asked to compete for the parade`s leadership spot. However, when everyone refuses to teach him, he ends up going to a retired, schizophrenic soldier who served in the Kargil war.
