synopsis

The documentary film 100 RISINGS is an anthropological journey through music, people and landscape. In search for a new sound and rhythm, a Swiss musician crafts his way through the Republic of Moldova and Romania, visiting some of the best local musicians who maintain folklore as the core element of their music. From jazz to hip-hop, from natures immensity to the claustrophobia of an apartment, the film explores the threads of authentic folklore of this cultural space.
