Janaki - Daughter of Earth

synopsis

Janaki is a homeless orphan leading a tumultuous life, until she is taken in by Sekharan Master, an elderly Gandhian. She finds herself at home with Sekharan's family and with Sekharan, who treats her like his grandchild. But things suddenly change when Sekharan passes away and Janaki finds herself back in the wretched reality of life, abuse and exploitation. Hurt and humiliated, Janaki becomes a case of dejected womanhood.
