"Desert Around Me" is a documentary filmed about ADHD and an epic ultramarathon in the Sahara Desert. Five elite athletes from Portugal, Italy, Mexico, and the US form Team IRun4Ultra to raise awareness about the social and medical epidemic that plagues our children, ADHD. Follow the athletes as they run Marathon des Sables, a 156-mile self-supported ultramarathon across the Sahara Desert. Witness their thirst, their fatigue, and experience the battle of men against themselves and against the desert. Observe that the endurance required to keep running parallels the struggle kids with ADHD face daily and be inspired by the team's will to go on.
