synopsis

No More Heroes is a bittersweet tribute to the asphalt desperadoes of Aotearoa in the 1970s who took skateboarding from a fun pursuit into a full-blown national phenomenon. It tracks down the key players in the story- the top skaters, the manufacturers, the designers and photographers, and finds out exactly what happened. The collection of rare and unique footage includes that of Manukau's legendary skatepark Skatopia being opened by Rob Muldoon and visited by international teen superstar and actor Leif Garrett.
