At 92, the divorced ex-wife of the legendary military hero and defence minister Moshe Dayan, has not gone into retirement yet. She calls herself a Palestinian Jew, having lived door-to-door with Arabs when she was young. Today the situation seems hopeless in that respect. But Ruth Dayan is tireless in her attempts to create ties that might link Arabs and Jews.
