Adventures in Wild California IMAX (NR) No Rating

Review Date: May 18th, 2000

From the team that created "Everest" comes this giant-screen nosedive into nature.

Story

From the opening skydive-surfing sequence to the baby bald-eagle rescues, IMAX's "Adventures in Wild California" navigates you through a world where nature rules. The more breathtaking segments could've been longer, and the somewhat inappropriate trip to the Mondavi Winery should have ended up on the cutting room floor. (What was THAT about?)

Acting

You're the actor here. You'll go sky surfing, snowboarding, tree climbing, surfing, and more with some of the biggest daredevils around.

Direction

Greg MacGillivray blends history and adventure on the giant screen. He educates

and enlightens with his view on a world less traveled. A round of applause

for cinematographer Brad Ohlund, whose camera angles create a spectacular visual journey that keeps you clinging to your chair.

Bottom Line

It'll be your least expensive trip to the Golden State.
