Fathom Events and GKIDS are excited to bring Pom Poko to movie theatres nationwide for a special three-day event on June 17, 18 & 20 as part of Studio Ghibli Fest 2018. From the legendary Studio Ghibli and Academy Award®-nominated director Isao Takahata, comes an action-packed ecological fable about the clash between nature and human civilization. The tanuki of Tama Hills find their community under attack when their quiet woodlands are threatened by developers looking to create houses and shopping malls. Desperate to survive, the tanuki band together and learn the ancient art of transformation, shape-shifting into a variety of humans and spirits as they undertake a plan to save their home.
