synopsis

This is a cinematic journey through the life of a woman born at the turn of the century in Portland, Ore., who grows up with the Rose Festival. Viewers will experience the evolution of a wild west stump town into a modern metropolis--Portland, one of the country's most livable cities--through the Roaring '20s, the Great Depression, two world wars and the baby boomer generation up to the 21st century. From the Lewis and Clark Centennial in 1905 to the Portland Rose Festival Centennial in 2007, the story takes the viewer on a journey of discovery about nature, self-awareness, human rights and civic pride through the passion and endurance of one unique woman.
