Adrenaline (2007) (NR)

synopsis

Chris Thompson is an ordinary guy who just bought a new car. It has all the bells and whistles, hands-free phone, on-board computer and a satellite system for navigation and a 24-hour operator-assisted help line. Chris takes his new car to meet his wife Lisa and pick up their ten-year-old daughter Cassie. But after he drops Cassie off at her swimming lesson, his ordinary life is turned upside down. His car suddenly stops. The doors lock. He's unable to start it. When he dials up his Sat-Assist system for help, he's answered by a man who has hacked into the company's network. He now has control of Chris's car, and can pinpoint his location at all times. And, he says, he has Cassie. He calls himself Harvey. Now Chris's unseen antagonist forces him to perform a series of tasks. If he fails in any of them, he will lose his daughter. Harvey's tasks become increasingly difficult as Chris tries to figure out how to escape the trap he's in, and struggles with a moral dilemma: what he is willing to do, how far is willing to go, in order to save his daughter's life?
