synopsis

A woman who got away with murder decides to sue the agency that pursued her case. Diana LaCharm, a black business woman, is investigated for throwing her business partner out of a 17th floor window. During the course of the investigation, she becomes romantically involved with the lead undercover investigator. Unbeknownst to the undercover agent, their affair is secretly recorded. He denies this during the trial until she produces the tapes. The case is immediately thrown out and Diana is released. The agency is in a fight for survival as she initiates a civil suit. The agency decides to reinvestigate the charges. The agency's best investigators seem to not be able to get anything on her. The lawsuit commences. Dark secrets start to unveil about the different agency heads and Diana LaCharm herself. The professionalism of the agency suffers. Street tactics are used as they attempt to destroy each other.
