synopsis

A successful writer approaching his fifties, Julio del Toro has always had his wife, daughter, mistress, and career under control. When he returns from a trip abroad, however, his coherent and peaceful life begins to spin out of control: his mistress gives him an ultimatum, his daughter begins a romantic relationship with a Spaniard who is older than he is, and an intoxicating young journalist becomes intent on seducing him. The women in Julio's life begin to make decisions that take all of their lives in unexpected directions.
