synopsis

In a region called the Cholame Valley- the heart of Steinbeck country -Max Harris decides to re-open a long-abandoned gas station that was the site of James Dean's fatal crash. But there's a secret that lies buried in these foothills, and when savvy reporter Nina Ellington comes to Cholame to cover the opening of the station, a mystery begins to unravel.
