synopsis

The Art of Ligaw is the story of Jake Esguerra, who feels the infinite emptiness of living a "landian" lifestyle. After decades of flirting, one night stands and hook-ups... in that moment of emptiness that feels like eternity... he meets the ultra-guarded and feisty Carisse, a modern millenial probinsyana working in a hipster call center in Davao. She is repulsed by his "confidence", while he is weirdly attracted to her raw repulsion for him.
For the first time in his life... in the middle of this seeming mid-life crisis, Jake decides to do what he thinks is the right thing to start a long-term and meaningful relationship "to make ligaw".
