Long Time No Sea

synopsis

Ma Na Wei lives with his grandma in Lanyu. His greatest hope is to be reunited with his father who works in Taiwan. His teacher, Yu Zhong-Xun, sees the National Aboriginal Dance Competition as a chance to be transferred back to Taiwan. As Yu trains the students, he discovers Ma's talent. However, there is a big obstacle: the children don't want to wear their traditional thongs on stage.
