synopsis
Gaalib' is based on the life of the convict Afzal Guru's son Gaalib Guru. Afzal Guru was convicted of 2001 Indian Parliament attack and was sentenced to death. It was upheld by the Supreme Court and he was hanged to death on February 9, 2013. After the death sentence of Afzal Guru, Gaalib's performance in the Class 10 result became a talking point on the social and news media.
