synopsis

Kenny tells the story of Dalglish's close bond with the club and the city which was forged when he signed for the Reds from Celtic some 40 years ago. After a trophy-laden playing career, Dalglish took over as manager in 1985 and led Liverpool to three league titles and two FA Cups. He returned for a second spell at the helm in 2011 and went on to lift the League Cup at Wembley. The film chronicles both the triumphs and the tragedies, not least the impact of Hillsborough and how he became a beacon of hope and strength in the fight for justice that followed.
