Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts

synopsis

In the deserted hills of an Indonesian island, a young widow is raped and robbed of her cattle. In defending herself, Marlina kills several of the attacking gang members and decapitates their leader. She then sets out on a journey to find justice, empowerment, revenge and redemption. But the road is long, especially when the ghost of her headless victim begins to haunt her.
