Pazhaya Vannarapettai (NR)

synopsis

Right before the by-elections in Old Washermenpet, a murder attempt on a couple of political bigwigs leads to the arrest of five mechanical engineering students who just happen to be at the murder spot. Tension mounts when one of the politicians dies and one of the five is detained. The cops tell the other four that their friend will be set free only when they help catch the original killer. They set out to track down the real killer, joining forces with a thief and an honest cop along the way.
