synopsis

In the Texas Hill Country, Diane Sutton cares for her son August who has cerebral palsy and her husband who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Overwhelmed by her family's needs, she hires local handyman Noah to help out around the house. When Diane notices a special connection developing between August and Noah, she offers him extra money for helping out with the boy's care. As Noah and August forge an friendship, some unexpected turns force Noah to confront his past.
