Yes Ma'am (NR)

synopsis

The gracious life within the stately mansions and gardens of New Orleans is maintained by black household workers, a vanishing remnant of the Old South. Many have spent their whole working life in one family's employment, and strong attachments have developed on both sides. How do these lifelong retainers feel about their role in these families? As one listens to the butlers, maids and gardeners, and hears the accolades from their employers, it all seems deceptively satisfying. But are they really part of the family or are they being exploited? Can true affection co-exist with servility?
