An utterly charming valentine to both Charlie Chaplin and Indian Cinema. THE BOOTCAKE is an Australian production that lovingly shows the devotion to Charlie Chaplin by one village in Adipur India. THE BOOTCAKE features terrific entertaining restored Chaplin footage along with the town's annual Charlie Chaplin parade and contest. Of course they cook a great big cake shaped like a boot and eat it in celebration of Chaplin's scenes as shown in THE GOLD RUSH. A hit at the 2010 Seniors film festival at Sydney Opera Quays.
